PROJECT VISION
The team at Scott’s Independent reached out to bring new life to a 1956 Speedster with a storied past. Originally bought in 1961 by George Batcabe and turned into an SCCA race car, this classic still had its bold red stripes running from front to back. However, the original painter had applied them a little crooked, and the color had faded over the years. The team wanted to refresh the stripes with a vibrant new shade, straighten them up, and add graphics to get the car race-ready for the prestigious Rennsport Reunion.
CREATIVE APPROACH
The project began with mixing a custom red color to match the exact shade the client envisioned. We then carefully straightened the stripes and added black pinstriping along the sides for a crisp, polished look.
Next, we designed and hand-painted bold race numbers on the doors, hood, and rear, ensuring they stood out with precision and style. We meticulously hand painted the PSCC sticker to the very front of the car. To top it off, we freestyled the “Scott’s Independent” name in a casual script on both fenders, giving the car a unique personal touch.
