PROJECT VISION
Anthony Rimicci tasked me with hand-painting racing numbers on a restored vintage Alfa Romeo GTV, featuring a black body with “Alfa Romeo blue” accents. The goal was to create custom numbers that matched the car’s iconic style and racing heritage.
CREATIVE APPROACH
Preparation was key—I meticulously cleaned and degreased the surface to ensure flawless paint adhesion. After transferring the design using hand-drawn patterns and a pounce pad, I painted the numbers in white enamel, adding a drop of the background color for better coverage. The final touch was outlining the numbers in custom-mixed “Alfa Romeo blue,” perfectly complementing the car’s accents.
The result was a bold, track-ready finish that combined precision, craftsmanship, and the timeless charm of a vintage racing car.
