PROJECT VISION
This 1960s Porsche, affectionately named “The Creature,” came with an incredible story. Originally owned by Elaine Cotter, who raced it with her husband in the 1970s, the car’s current owners wanted to preserve its history while adding hand-painted details. The goal was to recreate the iconic “The Creature” lettering inspired by the movie The Creature from the Blue Lagoon and add personalized touches that celebrated its racing heritage.
CREATIVE APPROACH
I meticulously recreated The Battlewagen lettering on both fenders, ensuring accuracy to its 1950s design. Additional hand-painted elements included the E (extinguisher) logo, a lightning bolt, and the Riesentoter logo, which required precision to match historical references. One of the most exciting touches was restoring the original owner’s name in period-correct lettering—an honor to paint and preserve this car’s storied past.
